OKay, fbaj, but I am still confused. Did you measure how long the video runs to determine how fast you were going? Is that the measure of 0-60? the number of seconds of video?

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner
That is the only way it can run a 4.5, by measuring the time of the video. Unfortunatley, video play back/recording devices are not calibrated to 1/10 of a second, and can give you the appearance of having gone faster than you actually did. :slaphead:

Ahh! But could he have had a tail wind of say 200mph to help with the time??

Ya know, I was all excited about this and y'all are starting to make me think that I didn't run it that fast. Yes, I got the time from watching the video and using the stopwatch on my wristwatch. The first time I did it I didn't believe it, but then I watched and timed it over and over and over and over and I kept comming up with 4.53 - 4.8. The way I see it, the only way I didn't run it that fast is if I didn't actually run second gear all the way up to redline - which is a real possiblilty. Even if that's the case and I shifted at say 5500rpm, it wouldn't have taken me more than a .5 second to get up to 60 from there. With that, my time would still have been 5.03-5.3 which is still very impressive. And given the fact that I CAN'T duplicate that time, that possiblilty is seeming more and more real to me. I wish I would have been holding the camera at a different angle so the speedometer was in view.

Oh, well. It's still a sweet video and I love watching it! And I still love my car! And that day was so much fun that I can't wait to do it again!

What? Even after your Bridgestone training?

Hey, flyboyaj, I personally timed your 0-60 time on the video. You actually went faster than you thought! 1.56 seconds to 60! Sweet!

Of course, I hit the fast forward button, though... :w00t:

Actually, wasn't that the amount of time it took him to get the Hooters girls to pose for him? :stir:

Cheers!

There is something known as being nice and understated!! :violent1: - I want people to think I am a terrible driver!!

Don't let people into my secrets 🤣

So - what are the plans for the first wedding anniversary on July 22, 2007?? :slappy:

When exactly do you start your 0-60 run?

I'm watching the video over and over, and from the moment the car starts moving from the stop-sign, to the top of 2nd gear is about 6 seconds? Unless you're starting it from when you say "here we go", in which case the car was already rolling, then i don't see where 4.5 or whatever is coming from...

It was the moment just before I say "alright, here we go", you can see the camera tilt up ever so slightly when I step on the gas. I've been studying it again more closely since all y'all have doubted the timing and I don't think that I came to a complete stop there either, so that skews the timing a little too.

IN CONCLUSION, I concede that my timing of 4.53 seconds is inaccurate and simply unprovable. It's still a kewl video and a really fast car by my standards and I love it!

I can't believe anyone is taking this seriously...There is no way that you can time a playback, and then determine 1/10th of a second difference. I bet you were no where near 6 secs
