RichardP said:The message used by the Intravee to turn on the DRLs can also control the levelling function. I noticed this on my E39 when developing it so the Intravee now uses the values reported by the LCM to populate the bytes that in the E39 activated the levelling function. It's possible that the Z4 uses a different method to control the levelling, but I'm surprised that no one else has reported the problem.
Disabling all light control from the Intravee, or disabling all Extra Features by not accepting the disclaimer will stop the Intravee sending messages to the LCM. If the Intravee is difficult to get at it should be sufficient, another alternative would be to pull the fuse to the CDC, in the Z4 I'm not sure if this controls anything else.
