X6 ugly or not

I think the thing is though... the X6 is a marketing department car - 4x4 is included to add gravitas and I very much doubt that it will be bought by people needing a 4x4 but rather people wanting to say they have it! For that, it hits the spot... don't believe me - BMW's marketing boys and girls are selling them!

Personally, if I wanted an interesting saloon it might make the list although probably not the final cut... if I wanted something for the green / brown stuff I'd be going for the Range Rover / AA combo. Although that would probably be on the saloon list too.

Funny thing is, as the many recent threads indicate, a lot of people don't even know what to do with a 4x4 in the snow!

TO ADD: Am happy that BMW are making these things - proves they're not just going through the motions and there's always a chance the R&D department, in filling the marketing brief, might come up with something useful in the long term!

Actually I kind of agree with that sentiment...my weekly journey to Mid Wales can be a real PITA....you don't need an offroader to get there but 4WD is a real boon on the nasty muddy wet bendy bits (and there are lots)...I've even been looking at the Diesel Scooby Forester because of its bombproofness and on-road capabilities....even the wifes old Honda HRV VTEC makes the trip a bit easier in winter, lets you keep your foot on the floor round the curves.....I suspect if I was minted I might consider something like an X6 but the killer is, its just plug ugly.....

X6 - Pretty awesome looking i think. Like a suave futuristic millitary vehicle for Chelsea. Buy one - not a chance.

The X6 will probably be my next purchase when I bored with sports cars. I think now I would buy one over an M3 to be honest!

I really hope it flops sale wise so I can buy one cheap.

Some say that about the Z4!

Tell you one thing, I bet if I owned an X6 at the moment I could use it! I can't even get my Z4 off my drive, never mind back onto it if I did! :?

I always hated the idea of 4x4, esp ones that actually cant go off road!

But as I got older and work commitments became stronger, I'm warming to the idea - need something that will give me good view around corners (i.e. high driving position), can take on wet/icy/snowy roads, and likely to win if it decides to play sumo with another car.
