Would you change your vote ?

It's a shame that their Salaries are not based on Performance alone, else they would be paying us. The Tax-payer - their employer!

No we were not. But we are now it's a total clusterfeck, that needs undoing if at all possible.

What will make us the biggest laughing stock will be to spend billions of pounds over several years only to end up remaining where we were (which is what I predicted from the very beginning)

Think many of us similarly guessed it’d be orchestrated to happen this way.

What would be your plan to resolve it democratically Sp3ctre?

Democratically it would have to be a vote between no-deal or deal. That said, it won’t go that way, as we have shown no appetite for no-deal, and shown that to the EU, they have no reason to give us a good deal. It will end up a referendum between a bad deal or remain, and remain will win.

... so if I were a UK politician, knowing the EU have never listened before but now we have their 100% undivided attention, I’d be asking behind the scenes whether we can address the primary issues (a new plan to change current rules) & then sell this to the U.K. public as an option to remain
1. Freedom of movement (rather than immigration)
2. Contributions (unaudited EU accounts)
3. Law & order (fallout from a minority in 1)

Admit won’t make everyone happy, though at least people who voted leave could be proud to say look, we made this happen, you’d never got it otherwise

Probably at cross purposes but to answer points 1 and 2.

1. We already have the right to ask EU migrants to leave if they cannot demonstrate the means to support themselves after 6 months. Of course the majority get work and pay taxes so the UK government has tended not to use it.
2. A bit of a myth this one. The EU accounts are audited and signed off (Audit opinion "fair and accurate" since 2007) - not totally error free but an improving picture. Some errors are made by members themselves having been given funding (including the UK) and some errors are subsequently rectified. https://fullfact.org/europe/did-auditors-sign-eu-budget/

It seems all options still on the table after the defeat of the withdrawal treaty today.

What about halting the march towards a federated Europe?

UK has vetoes in particular areas (defence, tax, security, Euro, new members, Schengen etc etc) but honestly it doesn't worry me anyway. The vast majority of EU laws passed have been supported by successive UK governments and are an essential feature of frictionless borders and a custom union. I regard the EU as friends not enemies, many still regard them the other way around, that much is clear.

I want to be friends with EU but that does not need to be as a member of their club

Same here, something got lost in the translation from when we originally joined the common market, they started telling us what to do & fining us if we didn’t comply.
That’s not what people joined up for & “mission creep” has been gradual but relentless.

It looks as if we now may have to suffer another general election goodnes only knows how that will help, I am a leaver but also a soft socialist I could never vote for the Tories just to get brexit nor can I contemplate voting for a party led by corbin will have to be the looney party then

Yep, i think a new political party could do well in these troubled times-people are looking for leadership but it’s just not there :?

Perhaps but coulld we believe anything politicians tell us

If you voted remain. The result would be, nothing would change. Voted leave was an unsure option. No one new what would happen. It’s mental so many voted on a thing that no one knew what would happen for sure.
I’m so ashamed of our so called leaders, that jeer and shout like animals in a zoo, while our country that so many of us love and are proud to say we come from goes down the shitter and has become a laughing stock on the world stage. Such a shame so many people gave their lives to give us our freedom over so many years to be squandered by a few in a room in Westminster. I try to never get involved in politics or religion. We all have our views but I can’t understand the continued attitude of numbness of May. It makes me sad that we can all come together and make this funny little island a strong, proud, affluent nation of many nationalities, religions and cultures. I have met people of all major religions and from many countries that call themselves British and that alone gives me pride and faith that they feel this. I just don’t know how we have gone down such a path and have got it so so wrong
