Would you buy a brand new Z4 if you had the chance?

Been back onto Broadspeed :

28 M Sport

Options added :
Metallic Melbourne Red
Heated seats
Comfort pack
Loud speaker system (Advanced) - not sure exactly how good it is :?

Total price £30,029 all in (including £199 Broadspeed fee)

Very tempting...............

Print it off and take to your local dealer.

Included in that price is Broadspeed's commission (over and above the 199 finders fee) - So there should be room for negotiation with a smart dealer :)

Yeah, it's £29830 without the commission. I would want to add the service pack though - that's a no-brainer as I intend to keep the car.

It will be interesting to see if Coopers BMW can get anywhere near it......I won't hold my breath

Broadspeed's commission will be nearer £1k - This is the cause of a lot of complaints with them.

You pay the price quoted but they get more than the £199 splashed all over their website.

Is the bottom line better than the local dealers price?
That's the $64,000 question.

If the dealers price (via Broadspeed) to you includes paying £1k on top to Broadspeed the money's got to come from somewhere ;)

Armed with the Broadspeed quote you should be able to find a dealer that will better it as there's £1k in there somewhere.

But you are screwing them to the wall so be careful not to piss them off completely.

If I could have got the dealers in Aberdeen to get within £10k of the Broadspeed price I'd have been doing well !!

In fact I sat in a z4 in the showroom in Aberdeen looking for someone to approach me and they didn't.

Just needed to check I fitted in the car :D.

Got a brochure and walked out - not even approached by anyone.

I had the same treatment in a Mini dealership down here. The lazy saleswomen couldn't be bothered to get off her lazy backside to help. I had to get my own brochures off the rack.

Ok it was 16.00 on a Sunday but she seemed to value her game on her iPhone rather than a sale! I asked her some questions re options and she was reluctant to be dragged from her game.

Will I go back - NO and probably not to another Mini dealership either.

Management should clamp down on such behaviour, zero tolerance. I worked in retail for eight years, granted I was shifting loaves, not cars, but I never let my personal matters... matter. Customers first, second, third, fourth and fifth.

Pretty disgraceful conduct by this woman.
