Would you buy a brand new Z4 if you had the chance?

I have a 35imsport man from new and its a stonking car steering is fine unless its at the red line then it gets a little leary as said a nice cruiser which gets some nice comment's from time to time on the question of new v second hand it depend's on your outlook on these things i have bought new in the pass but more 6mts,1yr old demo's or managment car's YOU LOOSE on all of them only car I ever got the same money back on was a xr3i back in the day. The 35i was the first new one i bought myself for about 12yr's although have bought the wife and daughter new one's in that time this was my Birthday present to myself as i had just hit 60yr and retired intend to keep it until i can't get out of it anymore and at the end of the day there's nothing like picking up a brand spanker unsullyed by someone else ,but if you'ed rather spend the money on something else buy a secondhand one the 23i i had before this was fine just was'ent perfect when i got it had a few stone chips and was'ent exact spec i wanted, also you will be hard pressed to get a35i man secondhand they are very rare paid 34k for mine which seemed good to me as i got the spec i wanted brand new. :driving:

A pal has a 308 and I was amazed at how heavy the clutch was!

Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age but it was the heaviest clutch pedal I can remember!

Funny as the 355 was my favourite Ferrari. I nearly picked one up about 3 years ago at just under £30K, they have rocketed since.

My mate who has a 52 plate NSX is the only person I know where a second hand car has appreciated so quickly. He paid £26K, put 30K miles on it and it is now worth £60K.

Still debating over the new V used. Going to pick the Supra up from the body shop where it has had a couple of issues sorted, new owner should collect in 2 weeks and then I will be seriously shopping. :)

If something that shouldn't be missed comes up in the meantime, I will grab it.

I took delivery of a new z4 four on fri 3rd oct , wanted one from first seeing it on top gear with clarkson back in 2009 i think ? bought a bmw 320d which i had chipped and drove for the last three years. January this years i hit 45 and decided to start looking for a z4 with a budget of around 20 grand decided i wanted a 2.8 m sport but couldnt find the right car ,when at the dealers i heard that bmw uk were knocking over 9k off a new one , sat down haggled a bit and ended up get a new car with a few extras and service package for 28 grand cash . So far dont regret ,you only live once and if only once in life wanted to have the experience of picking up a new car !

Not that sounds like a deal. What was the list price of the car?

Wicked willy, What options did you put on the car? £28k is a very good price

I really want a 28 M Sport with metallic paint, loudspeaker, heated seats and comfort pack for just under £30k.
Broadspeed will more or less get there but I would rather get from the stealers for piece of mind......

What is the drawback using Broadspeed? They put you in touch with a dealer rather than you trawling yourself.

I have been to BMW at Stockport, (no call back), Manchester (offered £7.5K saving), Bolton (no one approached me in 15 minutes of sitting in the car in the showroom), Preston (No discounted figure, just kept pushing PCP), Liverpool returned my call, but I need to ring them back. Luckily I travel around the NW for work, so it's easy for me to drop in at the dealers when passing.

I am still shocked at how lax they are with a guy who wants to spend over £30K on a car. :o

Broadspeed simply put you in touch with a dealer - you don't "buy" from them. They take a commission on the deal.

If you like Broadspeed save you time by not having to deal with knobend BMW dealers - There seems to be plenty of them !!!!

Trouble is, Broadspeed has some very mixed reviews....
I've used them 3 times over the years - most recently to get my 35iS.

Never had a problem with them at all

Once you are in touch with the dealer you can get whatever deal you want.

I got the Broadspeed discount and BMW Finance PCP deal.

I used my local dealer and just told them the Broadspeed price.

Stuck with it and they matched the price.

It was the only way I was getting a new car, but I'm happy with it. :D

That deal should be do-able from what I can see.

I'm only pulling your leg..

I wish I was in the same position, never had a new car and probably never will..

Money is too tight and hard to earn for me..plus my missus doesn't work ..
Still managed to clear the mortgage and haven't owned a quid to anyone since I was 37 so not a all grim up north

Way to go, If your not buying your car through a company then saving and paying cash is the way to go
