There are some appalling Welsh Valley accents out there if you delve deep enough. Almost a different one by town.

I think the Hull accent isn't that bad, including fern curl, it's the brummy one that gets me, I can't get passed the Timothy Spall in Auf Wiedersehen. It sounds like a 100 generations of inbreeding to produce a barely sentient subspecies.

A minor correction Sars - Timothy Spall is Black Country not Brummy.

My Head Office is in central Birmingham and I love their accent!! Great people, good sense of humour too!

My least favourite is definitely Leeds (a gruff, horrible, grating accent that i regularly have to put up with on East Coast trains) and Sheffield (especially when they say "8 while 9" instead of "8 until 9"
