World Cup I love it!!

The usual disappointment......what were we expecting? Same sh!t different tournament. Can't finish, can't defend. They just worked harder for it. Ref was a proper a$$hole mind

Too many bad contributions from too many members of the team.

Don't understand what Gerrard brings to the table, Lampard sat on the bench doing nothing.

Roy taking Sterling off is laughable.

EDIT: i'm glad for Rooney, he did try, for once.

Agree, time for Gerrard to retire from internationals. Defence were awful tonight

Hopefully Roy will get his marching orders too.

I like Roy, he's not an idiot - has fixed 80% of the team... but taking Sterling off is basically Gross Misconduct.

Gerrard should be out, john terry wouldnt of let those goals occur.

Its one f***ing game you bunch of bell sniffers  we'll beat uruguary and Costa Rica then everyone will be spunking in englands arse again.

Funny how things cant haunt you. .....eh ben g ?

Perhaps now you'll take a more diplomatic approach in the future and not choke too much on that humble pie...

Diabolical.

There are no excuses to be made, England were beaten fair and square by a better team.

We're still in it, so no thanks, you pessimistic tosser

Obviously upset, but you know, it's still the World Cup and I love watching good football, so England may be on their way out, but still lots of great football ahead of us......I'm loving it.

I never expected us to beat Uruguay and I was hoping we could have got a draw against Italy but that didn't happen, as I have said before we never stood a chance of getting out of this group as soon as it was announced because we just aren't good enough.

+1 totally agree. With Spain also gone, looks like I'm rooting for the Dutchies this year!

Costa Rica getting a result against Italy and Uruguay. Don't hold out much hope for England getting a point this tournament...

Awaits number5 and his pessimistic unpatriotic quoting billocks.

Heres to 2016. At least Gerrard will be retired by then. 8) silver lining.

As a past player & watcher of footy i began to lose interest at all level,s around 5,6,7 years ago primarily due to what i considered over hyped games, below average players ( not just English ) & ridiculous contracts thrown around being funded by rising Skysports subscription,s & extortionate gate prices .
Doesn,t mean to say i don,t watch the situation from afar & fwiw here is my take :?
Roy Hodgson was looking for a youthful team to build for the longhaul / fair enough but as a manager at any level you should ALWAYS pick the strongest team for each game in order to win & therefore progress .
Jmo but he took too many unproven players .
I appreciate Terry & Cole etc may well be past their best but experience counts for a lot at the highest level & i think the risk Hodgson took on his squad has now come back to haunt him

The best players in the Premier league aren't English. It might be the most competitive league but that does not mean the England team will be great..
Lets pick a group of maybe 25/30 young players and stick with them for the Euros and next world cup. The future starts now......
Just a thought. :tumbleweed:
