It's one thing scoring six goals against Iran but letting two in.............? Doesn't bode well for when we meet the big boys. I hope I am proved wrong but I don't have confidence with Maguire at the heart of the defence.

TBF they only let one in, the penalty was a bit 'strange' in the 150th minute, especially after the non-pen earlier which was much more blatant.r2uzenblot said:

Our defence in general has been poor of late. Hopefully we can score more than we let in each game; then we will win the world cup!!!!!!! :lol:

Wales played a typically 'English' World Cup opener IMO.
First half was terrible, then after a kick up the arse at half time, realised they were actually playing an important game and got better.
Ramsey played the worst I've ever seen him play for the whole game. Bale made a lot of errors too.
Although English through and through I was rooting for Wales last night and it was such a poor first half I though they were getting ready for the plane home. The problem is that they may have heart but the quality is not just there. Bale is past it (flashes are brilliant), Davies is sound in defence and I like Rodon. In FIFA 2023 (a wonderful guide) only Bale and Davies get any kind of ranking.
