Withdrawal symptoms

Being in the business of brains and stuff, I know a fair bit about withdrawal effects - both psychological and physical.
Having placed an order for my new Z4, I am now getting withdrawal symptoms, which haven't been ameliorated by buying a miniature version!

Thankfully dealer is letting me go on another extended test drive this afternoon till tomorrow morning. :driving:

However, I'm not sure that is really going to do anything but fuel my growing addiction to a car i don't even possess yet! :fuelfire:

Any suggestions on what else I can do to take my mind off the car will be much appreciated (I assume there have been others who have had long periods without the z4).

i have been on a test drive,
I think that's a bit like a dealer letting a potential mark have a taster of cocaine for free ...and then charging an arm and a leg to have any more.
actually that's an analogy that is perhaps a bit too close.

I was thinking about buying a Z4 model the other day! Good job that I couldn't find one as I would just be staring at it on my desk all day if I did.

Maybe head out for a track day? Do BMW do drive experience packages that some other car companies (e.g. Aston Martin) do?

Not sure what's on in the time between now and when you get your car, but pop along to a meet - ga41 came along to the London meet Z-less and enjoyed the day. Am sure if you asked nicely one of the chaps would be happy to take a passenger... you just want to be wary of the ones driving from one end of the country to the other for the privilege. By that, I have no-one particular in mind.

Driver training days are a good shout - especially if you're new to RWD.

To stop me moaning about the wait, my wife bought me this before I got the real one (apart from the obvious difference of it being an 'M'):

the only thing wrong with these models is that they tend to be left hand drive - oh and they don't come with stubbies

cj_eds, how clever are you with the camera? try holding the model slightly higher and see if you can sit it behind the real car, try and make it look the same size

already have the model - although with red leather interior and multi-spoke tyres, rather than the ivory white interior and 326M tyres I ordered. And i couldn't get a 35is either.

yup me

had to google...

You can wash and clean my car too. How long do you have to wait till you get it? I had to wait a week to get mine and it felt like a month!

As mentioned on another thread, current estimated delivery is 21st June 2011. So about 3 months.
...a week is nothing!
