Thanks Steve

I've noticed my wipers sit a few inches up the windscreen when I doing 70+mph and use my wipers intermittently.
If I use them at 50-60mph they work as intended and sit in the correct position, so I'm unsure whether this is general wind turbulence or a greasy mechanism causing it.
It may well return. :wink:road warrior said:I found when I got my car it did it for a while until I used it more often
Very probable that it is as Rob suggests. See topic below for how to fix it. Mine did exactly this several months back.Smartbear said:ben g said:Just to add to this problem, would this also be a cause of why my wipers don't go back to their correct resting position when I use them whilst on a motorway doing 'motorway speeds'? I’ve nit noticed the wind pushing my wipers higher up the screen so I’d guess it’s the common excess grease inside the motor issue Ben? :?

it may, but 12 months later it hasnt. - im only sayin, as our cars do sit around a lot, just sayin. :wink:buzyg said:It may well return. :wink:road warrior said:I found when I got my car it did it for a while until I used it more often

Yup same here; I went to clean out the grease but there was hardly any excess in the motor; ended up pulling the relay from behind the fuse panel and cracked it open - full of dust and shards. Luckily the fog light relay is a direct match, so I swapped them over. I think I've never used my fogs once.
