Wiper blades...

I'll admit to it too....I love driving barefoot in the summer!!!! I think it's against the law though!!!! In that's you can get pulled for it!!
 
Bare feet gives you more feeling on the pedals though but you are right, I think it is (still? ) illegal.
 
It is - my wife drives barefoot though, claims she can't feel the pedals with shoes on...
 
Those shorts you were wearing the last time I saw you would be illegal as well :rofl:
 
In several counties, including Fife in Scotland. I laugh in the face of the law and cry tears of laugher over the corpses of traffic wombles though, so they will be out again next year 8)
 
Driving bare foot is illegal, i didnt know that... How would they ever pull you for it?! Unless your name is Fred Flintstone :P
 
driving barefoot? you mad men :lol:

i find some thin soled adidas porsche design's allow you to feel the pedals perfectly.

i've tried to drive barefoot and it just didn't feel right. the pedals seemed a lot stiffer.

The theory behind not allowing driving barefoot is that should you need to do an emergency stop and there be a sharp object (stone etc) stuck to the brake pedal, when you apply pressure it will hurt... and what's the first reaction to pain - remove your foot from the pedal - oh dear, oops, sorry officer I would've stopped but ......
 
Think you would have felt the sharp stone the moment you pulled out of the garage :D

not if it's buried in you carpet (you excepted of course ;) ) and becomes attached to your foot... :P
 
I get on the motorway, set the cruise control, shoes off and lean back. Just keep your distances sensible and no problems. I put my shoes on before the junction I need to take.
 
Going back to wipers, try cleaning the rubbers with household vinegar :o if the meths is not to hand.

Works superbly.

Don't know how I've lasted nearly 2 years with these annoying bastards, but I now seriously need to do something about that bloody squeaking!! :evil:
 
Agree with pvr - my 1 series still had the originals on it when I sold it after 6+ years and 80,000 miles.
If it ain't broke..........
 
2 yrs 75k on the work hack. Still on the factory set. Cleaned every wash with the mitt back when I do the
I would highly recommend rainex-ing the screen too.

Are you sure it's not the arm pivot that's squeaking.
