Russ.......who works at AUTOGLASS

How often do you see this Russ ?

Oh, and do you live near Maidstone ? Got a couple of nasty chips in my windscreen :D

Had a new windscreen in my 5 series last year, and like you, I toyed with paying it outright instead of claiming, due to the insurance excess....until I was told the cost of the screen - £2700 !!!!

WTF!!! :o

Are some of you mental? There's a standard windscreen replacement price on all FC policies, with admiral it's £75 I think, it doesn't affect anything to do with renewals or anything of the sort, at all, in the slightest.

Same thing happened to my son on his less than a year old Series 1. He carefully lifted the wiper off the screen whilst washing his car and the blade simply came off in his hand and the metal bit only dropped a couple of inches and cracked his screen requiring a replacement.
