I've just got back from a little jolly to pick up some winter tyres I bought from a well known Internet auction site and for less than £100 I'm covered for the next 8 months. I decided to go down this route as the Zed has the Runflats from when I bought it but looking at the manufacturing dates I saw the oldest tyre was made in 2008!! Might explain the terrible ride/handling issues :? This winter tyre option has bought me a little time to make a firm decision re summer tyres or RFT and I feel reassured that being RWD I might have a bit more of a chance this winter than if I ran 7year old Runflats
I bought a pair of Sunny (?) 225/40/18 with only 2k miles on them for £60 and a pair of Contis 255/35/18 for the rear for £30 no punctures, repairs, cuts, splits or bulges on all 4 tyres-for £90!!
Proof of the pudding is in the running I know-what's everyone else's thoughts?
