windows going up and down like crazy

I have a problem with both driver and passenger window. The car keeps indicating that the doors are open and the windows goes down 10mm and then up again. It beeps from the panel as a warning that the doors are not closed.
So when I am driving the car keeps beeping and the both windows goes up and down, up and down like crazy.
The problem started after a car wash so I guess there is an issue with water in some way.
It has been two weeks since the problem started and I hoped that it might dry up and work again but still no improvement.

CAR WASH!!!! Go and wash your mouth out with soap and water.


On a serious note, the problem with car washes is that when they use pressure washes they get far to close and spray at the wrong angles so the water gets forced into places it shouldn't. The chances are it has probably shorted out somewhere. If the car is still under warranty I would take it to BMW and tell a little lie saying you washed it by hand with a hose and see what they say.

Actually it was a hand wash like always, that is what makes me annoyed.

I had a similar issue many years ago with a BMW mini and it turned out to be water ingression into the ECU.

Source of the leak was found, car and ECU were dried out and it was all fine after that.

There is the problem in the sensors which are on the body where the doors close (near the lock).
Try to check the sensors, they cause the warning signal and turn on the light when the doors are opened
