In case anyone is curious - my reasoning:
Both have the same options. Both have the same miles. The 2005 was only about $2000 less than the 2006.
The 2006 may be faster, but there are more mods available for the 2005. I like to be able to check the oil via a real dipstick. I can add some dynamat to the 2005 doors to make them "thunk" like the 2006. I can add a 3.74 or 3.91 LSD to make the car must faster.
I like the 2005 color better. I've had black on black before, and it looks better than everything else out there for the first 15 minutes after being washed... after that - not so much. I love the triple black, but the dark silver is just hot. (or "hawt" as Ms. Hilton would say).
The dealer was sketchy about the 2006. I, amazingly, got a good feeling from the CarMax dealership.
Sadly, I like the post-facelift look better, but I will live. I would eventually like to add an M hood as I hear they fit. I love the double crease.
I'll post pictures as soon as I have my new baby/toy.
