Why can't the rest of the world do this ?

Isis are not winning. They are the kind of cancer that thrives in the gaps between failed states.

They example to idiots like al Maliki why it is important to govern for all in a democracy and I am pretty sure that it is a lesson in the process of being well learnt. I suspect such movements are cyclic. Sectarians rise, divide, blood is spilled, people have enough of that s**t and try to be more inclusive.

Isis will be gone in a few years.

No. Why should it be that way?

95% of people in the Middle East have had perfectly good lives in the main for centuries. They are no different to us. They know how to run a civilisation. Things have been bent out of shape this last fifty years by the Holocaust and massive oil wealth. Poor decisions have been made. It will settle again.

To put it too simply.

According to news tonight the connected prisoners due to stand trial were transported earlier today to the state prison that carries out the death penalty . possibly the first one as early as tomorrow ?
I accept it isn't the way forward but it should send out a more definite statement than our own government has
I agree

So you think the Israel/Palestine problem will - "Settle" Not a chance.

Boko Haram, AL Shabbab, Al Qaeda, Army of Islam, Hezbollah, Hizb ut-Tahrir, will they settle down? I don't share your liberal optimism.

i agree with you it is my belief that the area ISIS now control is lost , the areas surrounding it over time will also be lost .my heart goes out to people living there who just want to survive ,they will be force marched 500 years back to the dark ages , and our useless leaders will do a neville chamberlain nand appease , Islam has a lot to answer for ,the silence of the opposition to ISIS from uk muslims is deafening ,if the above groups could exterminate all non muslims off the planet they would , i think im getting to the stage where i have perhaps said enough on this topic, im very sad over all this .
