Me,

I have bought a set of eibach springs
A set of new spring pads
A coil spring compressor
Fancy steel key cases for both keys (comfort access)
New batteries for both keys
Random orbital polisher and polishing bonnets
'Gap filler' pads for the gap between the seats and centre console, no more dropped and hard to recover items..
6 new spark plugs, what a difference they make, amazing...

Lets see what you guys are buying

1. A power socket / point in my parking space so that I can plug in a battery charger for my battered battery - just done!
2. A Ctek battery charger - arriving soon
3. Some SMD LEDS to change dash lighting from orange to white - completed
4. Carbon fiber to skin my scratched up brushed aluminium trim - work in progress & might take a while!
5. Oil cabin and possibly air filter, oil and spark plugs for service due
6. OBD digital HUD gauge - fitted!
7. Leather cleaned and dye applied for the scuff marks on the drivers bolster.
8. Gyeon Leather - ceramic coating for the leather - yet to be applied.

BMW M3 E90 front control arms /wishbones and rear bushes

Racing Dynamics Front Strut Brace

Eibach 5mm wheel spacers on the front Zito 935 to get the offset to 30mm (OE29mm) to lighten up the steering

M sport steering wheel with the later shifters... might get the Royal treatment on this one

Is there no issues with clearance with the spacers?

The steering is a bit heavy with the 235/40 18 tyres on the 8.5J rim...the offset at 35mm is quite a big % of the scrub radius compared to the 29mm OE fitment...so I thought I’d try n close the gap down to 30mm offset to help lighten the steering..

The tyre calculator suggests no perceived impact on clearances

https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=225-40-18X8ET29&wheel2=235-40-18X8.5ET30&fcl=50mm&scl=50mm&wcl=30mm&sr=0mm

Hope that helps?

A multimeter. Trying and failing to get my bike going. I think the ECU is knackered. :(

No sparks? Got fuel? What’s happening with it? :?
Rob
Has 2 error codes both temp sensors. Will go into the onboard diagnostics but will not complete all tests. The bike will start and die straight away as the fuel pump will not run. The fuel pump has been tested off the bike and will run with direct power. All wiring has been checked from the ECU to every terminal.
It didnt help that the manuals wiring diagram was wrong and I was chasing what I thought was a broken wire when its a misprint in the manual.
So because all the wiring is ok and the bike fires up it kinda points to the ECU and there doesnt seem to be any way to test it.
My model has a built in immobiliser that matches the immobiliser to the key and ECU so cannot just swap out the ECU.
Modern technology :(

My r1200gs had a separate fuel pump controller which had a bad reputation in the early days, people used to bypass them & run the pump flat out with no apparent ill effects, has your bike got something similar?

Too much,lol.

Mr .Vanos work done on car as well as a 3 coilpacks changed, etc. New OEM NGK spark plugs fitted also.
New Timing chain fitted at same time.
Car now running well, with no misfire (probably due to plugs and coilpacks/leads).
Vanos work was age /miles related servicing/overhauling of the Vanos, which is recommended every 60-70k approx,so did mine as its approaching 59400.

Also got Inspection1 service booked, with Brake fluid change, etc.

Oil/Air/Pollen filters all bought, some fitted, plus lots of oil, lol. Air/Pollen,cabin filtersFilters already fitted by myself, passed a few moments of lockdown :D

Clutch kit(awaiting delivery), Dual mass flywheel and new bolts.....not an urgently required job,as cars on just under 60k,but have had some signs of clutch slip when being used at times over past couple years, although it has only got slightly worse, I took the opportunity to buy o.e.m LUK/SACHS Parts when got cheap :D

Still lots on my to do list for the car, over the next couple of years, haha.
Probably new tyres next :driving:
