If you do the swap yourself, do you get any problems with alignment/tracking each time you swap over? I would imagine even the slightest change in the way the wheel is seated on the hub could introduce some vibration/alignments issues. Do you mark the 'top' bolt position so they go on exactly the same way each time?

In the mild temperatures we've had so far this winter they dont offer quite as much grip

This very much above 7c almost dangerous while putting down some bhp

Find mine offer good grip even above 7 degrees, so have no issues keeping them on - perhaps it's down to the brand? Mine are Goodyear Ultragrip...

I have switched wheels myself on at least two or three cars twice a year for 25 years now and never had any issues. I guess the center socket on the hub forces the wheel to always fit in the right position good enough.

Of course with the roof down too! Those pictures are still in my SLR Camera though. :)

Have them on both cars, wouldn't be without them. No issues regarding grip in above 7 degrees, why would you ? The compound is softer overall so I imagine would provide more grip ? God send when there is a heavy downpour too, like I experienced just now. Near flooding on road, 2.5 degrees C, but no issues. No spare alloys for me though, I just swap tyres. Main reason is that I don't know how long I will keep zed so didn't fancy extra expenses. Also alloys on pug and zed no longer pristine anyway.

SweNilsson, nice pics
What tyres do you use? What´s your opinion on driving the zed this winter (I´m glad there is much less snow this year than last)?
One issue I heard about before buying the car was problem with broken window mechanism due to ice on window when it tries to lower it before door opening. I have a bottle of ice remover in the trunk but haven´t needed it yet :?

I'm using a set of Nokian Hakkapelitta 7 225/50 17. Gives a little softer/quiter ride.
I love driving the car in sport + mode on snowy roads, but have to be careful though. However I think the car is very well balanced and I have'nt put myself in any dangerous situations yet :)

I can imagine the window motors are at risk when the wheather turns. I used de-icer the first day after the real winter came, since then there have not been any ice on the windows and everything has worked fine!
