I love having the roof down at night especialy in london in the summer you just have to get used to all the hand signals and friendly banter from people
7pm Friday on the way out for a curry. Stopped at a red light. Stared at the roof bottom. PRESS!
Turn up up heater. Heated seat on. Stereo up. Had a great blast in the dark.
Inspired by all the reports of roof down night time motoring we set off from Thurnham Hall this evening in the semi-gloom with the roof down. Seeing the moon, hearing the evening birdcalls and the wind in the trees turned the country drive home into a completely different experience. Even entering the city at the end of the journey was great, it didn’t feel as odd as I thought it might. I’ve never looked forward to Spring and Summer so much – more night time ‘topless’ motoring to come.
I drove once at 3am with the roof down when I owned a mine convertible, busies pulled me over, don't know why as there's nothing in the Highway Code to say its unlawful. Great it felt.
I just got back from a fifty mile topless drive and it's definitely dark outside. It only felt a little weird towards home when I was stuck in traffic in Fulham and people were sitting outside pubs at my eye level. I felt like I was joining their night out

We were staying near bath last night. Mrs G's Birthday. Got back from our evening meal about 9pm, Poldark time, Just so happens I left my mobile at the pub. So roof down and a moonlight hoon across the Avon valley, back to the pub, to retrieve it.
