Friday,..

a11y explains to Oak&acorns and Malc how the geomatry set up on a 3.0 E85 can effect the overall air turbulance and how this in turn increases downforce allowing for better grip on cornering, having the camber set to 2.76mm to the positive is the ideal setting on the 3.0l BMW Z4 E85 Yada yada yada

Hahaha Steve, thanks! :P I must say, some lucky timing in getting that shot

shambolic, apologies for my Englishness. Although MalcZ4 should have weighed in with that fact before and saved me from

JimmyPop, way to take your medicine like a man

No, what's a little rain? Pah. Silence, Bradders75!

I do like the way you gave that bumpy track a miss on my account! I could see RichardG's eyes watering at the prospect.

Anyway, I enjoyed it so much I've spent a fair amount of time browsing the photos. Again. So, here's a couple more from Josephine...

That should be it now. Although I must confess to going back and re-editing some

ZermattV, glad you're enjoying the photos, a poor second to being there, shame you couldn't make this one... you'd have done well to bring the Land Rover!

Oddly, I would refer to the above specifically as Loch Lomond, but generally as a lake.

Maybe you'll be there next year to ensure no further Anglicisation occurs  Be good to have an E89 along too.

Lol lovin the banter. One of pawnsacrifices quotes from the weekend as we were lined up waiting on the return ferry a young couple was walking down the line of z's when they got to guieseleyesise coupe Pawn said "they will be pleased to see that BMW make a mobility version.

Next time confuse the English with a trip to the Lake of Menteith (when is a Loch not a Loch...)

Looks from the photos like it was good fun. Maybe I'll make a full day trip sometime soon.

:) Tehehe. Need a can opener :headbang:
Guiseley - did you get the window fixed?

Some of the best moments for me:

- Ally getting VERY close to Matt's bumper on the ferry home

-As said previously, at the distillery photoshoot, the German tourist tearing off in his Ford Galaxy when his car was in the way of the lovely cars.

Back to work is a shock!! :tumbleweed:

All good things lead to jealousy from those who aren't fortunate enough to own them.

And I was giving Oakandacorns a hard time for taking up all the space in the boot, seems something else had taken up all the room...

I blame the ferry operator dude - he was the one guiding me into position

Ha, I totally forgot about that til now! I'm sure Malc will remember his glasses next time :)

A11y, thanks for running point on the run back along the lake and then the military road, was great fun
It's fair to say my arse cheeks were a bit tight after that "moment" with the 6-series: two low-down cars meeting each other on the crest of a blind summit on a singletrack road having both been hidden from each other by dips in the road, not nice! The van that followed soon after was just an idiot :x

I'm hoping to get onto sorting out my photos tonight. And hopefully have a proper look through other folk's ones too - too many are being blocked by my work filter (tried to download Firefox as it's more "open" than IE, but they've bloody well blocked that too...).

Hey guys !

Back this morning very, very early... we were supposed to take the 18h40 ferry from Dover to Calais, but had "some" delays. We arrived early at the ferry terminal, around 16h00, and we were re-scheduled on the 14h55 ferry... which was supposed to take off at 18h0... but which arrived in Dover at 19h30... and managed to dock at 21h00 (the side propeller thingy was apparently out...).
Have you ever seen a ferry missing it's docking manoeuvre ? well, now i have !
Believe me, it sounds more exciting than it really is... :headbang:
So, on to the ferry at 21h30, arrived in Calais at midnight french time and i was in my bed at 3 in the morning. Wake up this morning was difficult. :x

So, to quote a famous Z4 owner : Dover ? seriously ?

Beside this, i wish to thank all of you for your kindness and warm welcome. We really had a good time with you all, i really don't regret a minute making the trip all the way up to Islay. Beautiful landscapes, greatest whiskies in the world, good friends, what could you possibly ask for more ?

Ho, by the way, Blackpool.... well, yeah, seriously ! :P

Photos to come later...
