I'm in work Friday, plus I've cut it fine with my money by paying my insurance annualy. It's payday next week though and I still have my old car to sell so should pull through :|

If you are going again next year I would be all over it.

If you are planning on going on some distillery tours I would recommend Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Bruichladdich. It's wise to call them and book tours in advance to avoid dissapointment, and take a few £'s to get a bottle. I brought back a bottle of Ardbeg Supernova, lovely stuff :thumbsup:
 
RichardG - don't worry about the brake light. I'd be interested in taking it but you'll be short enough of space as it is - could always get it at the next meet.

Halfway through my night shifts - still haven't even thought about attempting to pack!
 
What's happening on Friday morning then? I've just had a cancelled appointment so have the day free. I might tag along for a drive up to Inverary or Lochgilphead or somewhere if it's going to be wee jaunt with photo-stops etc. If it's a break-neck sprint to catch the ferry in time then I'll not come along to slow you down :)

PS If it rains, I'll stay at home!

Stirling services leaving at 8.30am sharp, should be a leisurly cruise with photo stops as have allowed plenty of time (I hope :? )

So that'll be about 9:00am then. :D

Anyway washed and waxed ready for it to start raining any minute now, depressing experience the stone chips seem to be multiplying at an increasing rate, might have to look into a front end respray next year.

Who's in the Falkirk Central Premier Inn tomorrow bight besides myself and Guiseley? Fancy a small dry Sherry or even a Port and Lemon if feeling adventurous.
 
RichardG, Pawn & Oakandacorns should be there too. I should now be there a bit earlier as I'm managed to blag a meeting in Edinburgh late on Thurs, rather than Morley, so might be up for a bite to eat too :)
 
Sorry guys me (Glewpot) has had to change hotels because i did'nt realise that i'm on the 9.15am ferry from Kennacraig! i did try & change it but was told its fully booked up.
I am now in the Premier inn at Dumbarton, so will meet you guys at Islay.
 
Ok guys i'm starting to think this trip is cursed for me, i have just posted this on the M section of the forum & thought i best keep you guys up to date.

What a day from hell, i'm meant to be going to Islay tomorrow with some forum members, well knowing that i'm going to sunny Scotland i thought it would be a good idea to fit some new rear tyres to my z4mr, how wrong could i be, the tyre fitting knobs have cracked not one but both rear rims , was then told they will replace both wheels free of charge but after getting in contact with BMW they will not arrive until around seven days.
Has anyone else experienced issues with standard M rims?

Thats the bad news, the good news for me & my mate is that we are still coming but in my other car which is not going to be quite the same but at least i get to come. :)
 
Just a quick update from me. As some of you may know, I came up to sunny Scotland on Sunday afternoon after a relaxing few days in Northumberland. My girlfriend and I have had a fantastic time exploring the Argyll region with Fingal's Cave and Kilchurn Castle being particular highlights! Unfortunately Tina had to head back home this morning due to work but I'm keeping up appearances until we all meet on Fri. My B&B is in Inveraray so I'm looking forward to the Zed army coming through on route to the ferry! :D :driving:

With 900 miles clocked up so far, I'm afraid I'm going to have to withdraw my car from the show'n'shine competition. :oops:

Update from me: mega busy with work but will get the cart packed tomorrow night. Fully intending heading down to meet folk at the hotel tomorrow night: can someone give me a call/text when they're there? Not promising I'll stay out for long tho cos I'm pooped...

I was considering nipping over to see you all tomorrow night But will be busy trying to cram everything into the Z, Have told SWMBO I don't want to be held up on Friday because she can't find her shoes. If the opportunity arises if I can get over for an hour or so I will do, failing that will see you all friday.

That's a good point: I'll swing by the hotel in Falkirk on Fri morning to chum folks up to the services. It's sort of on my way and more interesting than the motorway... I'll be at the premier inn for an 8am departure if that suits? (it's only 10-15 mins to Stirling services from there)
 
Whats the plan for Sunday/as in ,where are u planning to be Sunday,as would like to try and catchup enroute back,if thats possible/depending on where u will be??

You should be fine on the main roads, but I'd be careful on the minor roads. Don't even think about taking a Z4 down the track to Kilchoman distillery. Several normal cars have come to grief there.
