We're all booked now. Recently bought some Gellert sleeping pods - for those that don't like the constricting style of a mummmy bag- yes a little bulkier but who really needs a fondue on such an occasiion ? Like these but available elsewhere....

Just seen SWMBO'd new sleeping bag over skype, it's kin massive :rofl:
Was litteraly PMSL watching her wrestle it out its stuff bag, reckon we could both fit in it if it starts to get a bit chilly. :oops:

All you need to worry about just now is getting your Ferry booked to secure a crossing for that Time, Shooter Is travelling up and over to Islay on the Thursday and meeting us off the ferry on the Friday and staying on till the Monday. He appears to be on some sort of Whisky pilgramage.He is not camping.

I like the look of those as I HATE small sleeping bags, but a 2-season in Scotland - err naw! I've going for something warmer than that :oops:

Yeah - sorry - I too went for 3 season - actually it's almost too big - even for me !!
 
Typical - just got my new rota and I finish night shift on the morning we leave for Isla!

Looks like I will need to meet up with people a little later along the route - probably around the Rest and Be Thankful. My driving might also be a little erratic (well, more so than usual!) due to a slight lack of sleep....
 
Well I've been waiting to find out how my rota would turn out.... going to be home.... my best mate who i'm going to be best man for... wants his stag do that weekend..... 2011 is looking like a z4 meet duck year for me!
 
That's a pity - I don't suppose you could persuade them to have their stag weekend another weekend or relocate it to Isla? :lol:

On a plus side - someone else in work needed to swap a week of night shift to sit an exam - guess who was happy to volunteer! :driving:
 
very busy year this year jimmy ... currently moving jobs and am not about much so free weekends are at a premium.

the plus side is new role means i will be in the uk for next couple of years so the maldives zed is staying with us!

Starting to get a wee bit more exited as the time gets closer.
Had wee bit of a scare at work last week, they have just brought in an on call rota which had me on call for the Islay weekend, but as I had already booked the Friday off my boss told me he would cover me for the weekend :D

Right just need to get sleeping bags, air beds, stove, etc etc etc...

I believe there has been some SWMBO chatter on something called facebook :? :? :?

Your not wrong mate, MrsG was telling me last night how she, MrsJP and your good lady had been swapping messages about hairdriers and straighteners etc and how much they were looking forward to Islay, well MrsJP and MrsG were after MrsJPs experience in their new bedouin tent and new sleeping bags, MrsN on the other hand :evil: lol.

Only 6 weeks (on friday) now, which means I'm home 5 weeks on Sunday. :D
Only thing that pisses me off (and don't tell MrsG) is that the day I get home is the Indianapolis round of the MotoGP, which I would have tried to get to if I still been in the US of A.
