Did you by privately or from a dealer? If it was from a dealer I would be getting them to pay for the second key. Two keys are essential. If the transponder fails in the one you've got you cant start the car. I had to buy one from VW for my Golf and it was nearly £200.00goose said:Evening all,

That sounds right, one of the first things they asked me when I was getting a price on my 3 series was.....do you have all the keys?ksher said:I don't think BMW dealers will sell cars without full set of keys, i.e. 2 master keys with remote control and 1 plastic spare key.
