Which race ramp?

Anyone who's worked under their E89 is the extra 2" height gain from the 67"x10" race ramp worth it or should I just get the 56"x8"? I'm leaning towards the latter but I was wanting to know anyone else's opinion.

get yourself two low entry trolley jacks , lift your e89 up both sides high in 6 pumps

Not advisable for working under though which is what the op is looking to do.

I use these which allow me to jack up the car and puit the stand in the same positionIMG_0570.JPGIMG_0569.JPG
Now that's a good idea. I take it from the pics that you jack up the car then fit these somehow so the jack can go back down, leaving the stands in place? Do you have any more info on them (or a link), as I haven't seen them before and they could be ideal for me?
Cheers.

I use this its extremely good and very very useful. A bit pricey but you only have to buy it once.

Well yes my wife wouldn't like it on the driveway!! Thats why everyone should have a friend who lives on a farm. And has a great big barn to work on cars in....

In all seriousness you can get them that fit in a single garage. And they only lift the car about 3-4ft of the ground.

A little more space friendly but i would imagine it getting in the way a lot.

The top of the stand is separate and sits on top of the jack located in the lifting point of the car . When the car is at the height of the main part of the stand you fit the stand around the jack and then as you lower the jack the top piece locates in the stand and you can remove the jack.
Pic C .JPGI bought them from the states web site www.jackpointstands.com

But again I'm not interested in people opinions of what I should get. I'm interested in if the bottom of the car being 16" rather than 14" off the ground is useful.

Of course having another couple of inches will help, but that is just my opinion.

Always nice to see what other suggestion people come up with as well.

Without doubt go for the extra 2" the more room you can get the easier the job.
