I have eibachs and I imagine the only endorsement you will get here is for eibachs too as I've never even heard of PI springs around here :?

im thinking about a set of eibachs as my car has just done 52000 and im guessing the springs will need replaced soon anyway.

if i get them do you need wheel alingment or tracking done?

sorry for the hijack i just thought it might help the thread along :)

Yep, you should at least get it checked. I waited two weeks after fitting mine to let them settle. The jury is out on whether this is 100% necessary but I didn't see any harm in waiting.

im getting 4 wheel alignment done tomorrow while i get my nearside wishbone replaced (slack ball joint) so i was wondering if its worth only getting front wheel aligment done tomorrow then holding out for all four corners until i fit the springs.

Eibachs on mine and very happy with them. Ran the car for a couple of weeks before getting it aligned all the while checking ride height daily to see if the springs showed any signs of settling. If they did settle any, it was only one or two mm.

After the mini pole i have bought PI springs :o

I have used them on my 5 and 3 before, and i got them for £111 (delivered) it is obvious that eibach are renound the, better / the best springs for the Z4 but i personally couldn't convince myself that eibach springs are £50 better than the PI ones!

So i'll let you know how i get on!

Quick question chaps,

I have a 3.0Si on M sport suspension, what is the ride height difference on Eibach springs? I dont fancy going any lower given the state of the roads.

Pete

IIRC the M sport suspension is around 15mm lower than standard. the eibach will produce a 30mm drop, so for yours it will be around another 15 unless they have specific springs for the facelift with m sport.

Thanks Rudd, not sure if i fancy dropping it anymore based on the speed humps near me, wonder if there is a way of keeping the same ride height on eibachs?

Am looking at SuperSport springs which claim to drop 20mm from standard - shied away from Eibachs as I have M wheels which would probably rub. They would give you just a 5mm drop. Will report back.

Tommo Two, look forward to seeing them on - should look great with your wheels

Also, if you've used the product before and are happy I wouldn't worry too much about the name on the box.

Iv just got the car back from the garage after having its front wishbone and bush replaced and 4 wheels alignment done.

i enquired about 4 wheel aligment after lowering while i was there and they repeated what has been said previously, leave it a couple of weeks then get allignment done as the camber will be out.

the car now feels much tighter and feels like it sticks to the road more. when im happy the mechanics havent left an important bold on the garage floor il take it for a drive on the twisties and see how it feels.

4 wheel alignment defo worth it, just means i have to pay for it again when i lower it......oh well the joys of the zed :)

I think it could be a little tight with a drop on 19's but there is only 1 way 2 find out!

Yea been happy with them before, i was the 1 vote for PI on the pole! Was just wondering if any one and some good info on why eibach are £50 better than the PI ones.
