I just googled M235i as that was one of the choices and------

Because Tim is talking about the M2 Coupe, the new version of the 1M coupe. You know a 'proper' ///M car, not one of these ones where they take a 135i or a 235i and stick a M badge in front of it.
Not even sure why they called it the M235i possibly due to the F Series 135i getting that treatment but I can't see them making a M335i or a M435i because they have a M3 and a M4 so as they are launching a M2 whilst slso having a not real M car in the M235i

The M135i/235i has the \\\M fettled engine, the rest i.e. chassis etc is standard BMW so they deserve half an M badge :lol: but then you could argue any M sport spec model shouldn't be wearing the badge

In real day to day driving, the M235i would be faster than a M3 on a track maybe not
If i had a M235i i would fit an LSD to it which would make it a better car that the M3 IMO

That's a good point and with the Zed it was built as a sports car from day one and you cant buy one as a diesel whereas the 2 series and 3 series faster models are still based on boring run of the mill cars so you make a very valid pointronk said:
