So I'm in the process of buying stuff for my new place and now looking for a dining table. They are all SO boring. I've looked at: Laura Ashley, Debenhams, John Lewis, M&S, Ikea, Furniture Village, Harvey's...nothing I like. Any suggestions?

Indigo Furniture and Old Forge is where we bought most of our stuff from..

Both will deliver,,,

Walk up Tottenham Court Road - thought there used to be some nice furniture shops up there ?

Yeah there are, did my Masters near there used to have a wander. Heals was a favourite but alas even nothing exciting on their website. Maybe my expectation of a dining table is too high. Prob is I bought one of those poncey Home magazines and the table I like the look of has chairs advertised for £1,850. Each.

There's not just Heals & others though, I seem to remember some smaller boutique style shops too. Isn't there a Pier and others ? Worth a wander, and if you get bored there are some lovely pubs down the streets off either side.

Oh, and £1,850 for a seat

Thanks Lillywhite  too expensive though.

Nice contemporary range though if you have the budget. One of the first companies in the UK to stock Scandavian designed furniture in the 50's.

eBay - second hand dining tables and chairs go for peanuts, just got to sort delivery.
Or...... buy a plain one and get it wrapped in whatever colour you like...

Ruby, get one made. Seriously, there's a place on Wandsworth Bridge Road called Woodstock. They do reclaimed wood and new build tables, chairs, drawers, etc. Cheaper than standard places, made to your spec and will last for years. We have our dining table (with bench style seat) and a set of drawers from them.

Try Barker & Stonehouse. I had one from them a few years ago and really nice quality.

Some lovely stuff here, just had a look and got distracted by sofas in the Duresta range..there are no prices which worries me. Thanks for the suggestion. Good one
