Where are you going on holiday?

Mexico end of September.

I loved Cuba too but my missus wasn't too impressed so I can't see us going back anytime soon :(

+1 i didn't like Cuba much, nice beaches.....that's about it!

Mexico is way better. Tulum is beautiful, loads of really cool bars and restaurants on/overlooking the beautiful beach.

Luxie, did you go anywhere in Cuba? Cities trips etc?
We went out and about to Santiago, trips etc, thought it was a great place. Very clean, lovely countryside, amazing beaches.

We stayed in Guardalavaca, but to be fair we had the arse end of a hurricane which gave us drizzley/windy weather for a few days so that probably didn't help.
I like to go out at night and you can't (or couldn't then) and when we did go out of the hotel in the day there were beggars everywhere. People in our hotel went to Havana and said it was so bad they had to get locked in a shop as the beggars were following them!?

Good and bad everywhere but I wouldn't rush back to Cuba, but that just me!!

Las vegas next month
And
road trip through the alps to south of france in Mid june

I haven't got round to planning a holiday this year as been too busy with work commitments etc. Likely going to San Francisco to see my brother and his family at some point but wanted to plan a week elsewhere. I need some inspiration. Not wanting to spend too much either this year.

Looking at Hawaii - why not tag a week in Hawaii right after your visit to SF ?

My friend has just come back from there and said it was v expensive indeed. The flight alone to San Fran is £850 in early May.
I might look at going to a nice island in Greece, always wanted to go to Santorini. Fancy a long weekend in Barcelona also.

We went to Santorini a few years back - very cosmopolitan and picturesque -we stayed in the "Sweetheart Apartments "
TBH it was too busy for our tastes and the beaches were all pebbly :(

Le Mans for the race, a few days in Brittany then back towards Paris for a couple of nights so we can visit Chartes cathedral and Monet's gardens

Can't wait as driving in France is a real pleasure, quiet, smooth roads and drivers that take no prisoners! :driving:

Love it and the food is fab too

im buying two houses over the next month or so, so im going to be tapped out until about november time..... not such a bad thing as i will be able to spend loads of time at my new home and settle in

come the end of the year i will try and go so somewhere nice and warm when the weather turns here.... may even leave it until early next year :D

Vacations for me will involve Vermont for the next 4 years, I'm afraid. My daughter starts college there in the Fall. However, one week in Las Vegas early next month for a work Trade Show  . Sometimes you have to take 'em where you can get 'em.

Vermont is lovely. I really hope to go back at some point.
