Looking at Hawaii - why not tag a week in Hawaii right after your visit to SF ?
My friend has just come back from there and said it was v expensive indeed. The flight alone to San Fran is £850 in early May.
I might look at going to a nice island in Greece, always wanted to go to Santorini. Fancy a long weekend in Barcelona also.
