I haven't got round to planning a holiday this year as been too busy with work commitments etc. Likely going to San Francisco to see my brother and his family at some point but wanted to plan a week elsewhere. I need some inspiration. Not wanting to spend too much either this year.

Looking at Hawaii - why not tag a week in Hawaii right after your visit to SF ?

My friend has just come back from there and said it was v expensive indeed. The flight alone to San Fran is £850 in early May.
I might look at going to a nice island in Greece, always wanted to go to Santorini. Fancy a long weekend in Barcelona also.

We will deffo got back to Iceland, amazing place.

Mrs Lux at Gullfoss waterfalls...

We went the week before Xmas and it was really lovely, loads of snow, and they love decorating the place with lights over there. This was taken in a graveyard we stopped by on the way to see the northern lights, I had a bit of a wobble on my own taking the pic :(

BA were doing return to Hawaii via LA stopover for £1100, thought there might have been a routing via SF as BA have the united airlines tie up...
Barcelona is great, a good sightseeing, culture and eating holiday :)

A house purchase is taking priority this year. However, I am absolutely dying to go back to Vegas so hopefully we can sneak in 7-10days towards the end of the year.

Not a holiday but I will be heading to Brazil (Rio) for approx 3-4months at the end of April for work. Just in time for the World Cup  That should hopefully mean I will have ample down time to catch a game or 2 and spend a bit of time on the beach - much to the missus' disgust.

+1 on a Barcelona trip Ruby, we went last year & absolutely loved the place, its a beach holiday & city break all in one, if you ever do go make a point of doing the Freixenet tour - well worth the 1/2 day trip.

No idea yet. Can't see past the house renovations that have just started and will last into mid-April. Then I think we'll really need a holiday!

Its our 1 year wedding anniversary in June... The wife wanted to go back to the seychelles... I was reluctant as i dont see the point of beach holidays... So we compromised... And are spending 2 weeks on the beach in tahiti :headbang:

I see you are taking to the husband role well

No idea this year - with work I am fortunate to travel the world and visit some fantastic places (just have to remember to take time off in each location) so holidays are more linked to chilling. We have dates aligned between SWMBO and myself, and will book something closer to the time.

I can't believe non of you are holidaying in this country!!!!! Why? There are sooooo many fabulous places here.

The girlfriend and I are spending a week in Cornwall with a group of friends in a National Trust bunk house for a spot of surfing. Then we're off to Snowdonia for a few days R&R and maybe a bit of :bonk: if I'm lucky :D and then to the Lake District for another few days in a yurt with a bit of yomping up and down hills thrown in.

If you choose your accommodation wisely and don't mind cooking/feeding yourself you can have two weeks for the price of weekend in Paris.
