Wheel Spacers

Hi,

Looking at putting some wheel spacers on my E85 Z4 3.0 (2004). Was thinking about 12mm on the fronts and 15mm on the back. Will 20mm on the rears cause any problems.

12-15mm on the front with OEM 18s will be fine if you're on stock suspension, likewise 20mm on the rear. In fact 20 on the rear will be perfect with a staggered set up. If your car is lowered stick with 12 on the front - I had 15 with Eibachs on my last Z and got a lot of rubbing on the front of the arch up front... Though I didn't pootle around in it so the suspension got worked. Rear 20mm and lowered will be fine, just a teeny bit of rubbing on the rear of the drivers rear arch for me.

Thanks for the replies.

Current mods are only strut brace (Ultra Racing strut brace, stainless braded brake lines & poly bushed front suspension). So will probably do 12mm fronts and 15mm rears.

For what it's worth I'm running 20mm spacers on the rear, it's lowered with an Eibach Pro-Kit on the 108's and there's no rubbing. Looking at adding some 12/15mm spacers to the front, most likely 15.

If you check out my thread, there are some (very poor!) pictures of before and after spacers. Standard supension pre-facelift.

I used 12mm front and 20mm rear and am really happy with the result. Bear in mind you will want the car set up after installation as it's quite a big change to the geometry

55mm rear spacers, 22mm fronts... no issues at all. YET. Though that's probably got something to do with the build quality of the spacers cheers Mr Monkey!
