Wheel refurbishment and painting

I tried this with the B20 and the paint just looks too dark.
I may get a couple of cans made up to spray all four complete wheels. It will take some work and time but time I have

I’ve just had mine done in Graphite, they were machined faced originally, paid £72 per wheel

They look well, should be more durable to corrosion than a lacquered machined alloy finish to boot

TB’s VO looks very well with ferric grey. Would be the colour I’d go for if refurbing

Thanks for the link. I do think that kind of grey does suit the VO cars. I may well ask about that
The wheels in the link are not 326Ms, though. They are 437s (I know BMW do like to confuse everything) from the M4 and have diamond cut faces. I am pretty sure you can't diamond cut the faces on the 326s as they are moulded and made of much cheaper materials (I think the 437s are forged). I may be wrong (it has been known)

That’s why I was showing him the colour not telling him to change his bloody wheels :poke: :poke:

My mistake (again)! And stop the poking; it bloody hurts :poke:

Why thanks Rob, I’m very happy with them

Has anyone done theirs in a different colour to standard and if so could you post a pic please?

I'm happy to leave the car indefinitely so they'd need to remove the wheels, tyres and refit after the job.

Had mine done a week or so ago (326's), had made my mind up to go for Black then got to the place LSN coatings in Castleford West York's and saw the display samples, went for dark graphite in end, close to black but has a metallic fleck in it when the light shines on them. I was well please £220.00. Dropped them Wednesday got them back Friday ( wheels with tyres) I had a spare set of wheels from a 320D that I stuck on while they were being done.

Drive in and leave, secure garage and did the 1 series a few months ago with no issues :D
Your £60 a corner makes my quote look a bit strong.
"I just got a quote from a place in Norwich for £336. That is keeping the wheels the same colour."
i.e. £84 each. I will get some more quotes.

Steve, is that tyres off, back on, balanced etc?
I'm looking to get Vall's done but want to bin the Landsails and put better tyres on at the same time.
Finding it hard to find anyone to do it round this neck of the woods.

Yes that does seem strong but £75 a wheel is normal from other quotes I have had

Yes, they take the tyres off.

Is this going to take three replies :poke:
Do they put them back on?
Do they balance them?

There is a company in Birmingham called City Wheel Refurbishment. Their charges are very low. They will do split rims for £25 per wheel but you have to split it yourself (I think they are scared of snapping bolts).

I know you generally get what you pay for, but I've used them before and they did a decent job.

I don't know about re-balancing them.
But of course they put them back on. :headbang:

They do have a web site. Have a look there. :poke:

Foolish of me I know, but I have sent my crystal ball off for calibration and googling 'a place in Norwich' ain't doing it for me.
Got a website, or at least a business name?
Please? :D

Ah, you are right. I thought I had posted their name. BA wheels. Here is a linky thing....... https://ba-wheels.co.uk/our-services/

I just had another quote for £260 plus VAT which is £312. A bit cheaper but not as cheap as some have said. http://www.swalloys.co.uk/
