I have a 2004 Z4 E85 and have recently removed the drivers seat to give me more access to work on a power steering fault. Under the seat there is a multi-pin electrical connector (which had to be disconnected) and from the socket attached to the seat there are numerous cables shooting off to various places within the seat itself. I know one cable is responsible for the seatbelt warning but there are three others with no obvious purpose. There is also a cylindrical tube device that goes to the base of seat belt connector that also has a socket with a cable plugged into it. The three seat adjustments are all manual so there are no adjustment motors to account for these cables, can anyone enlighten me ??
