Hang on - you're saying a wider tyre will look stretched? And won't offer rim protection?
Wouldn't it be the complete opposite of that?

WLH said:I believe you would be ok with the 275's in the rear but I would be concerned about 245's in the front. I ran 235's on the front of my 03 & 06 Z4's and there was no room to spare. Also as EdButler noted if your doing this to gain extra traction you will only change the shape of the foot print to wider and narrower (By mm) and not gain any real difference in traction. Also, I would not put 245's on an 8 inch rim. They really need a 8.5 inch rim and I would not put a 275 on a 8.5 inch rim. 9 inch would be much better but that's just me...![]()
