Personally not been to the tyre shop where they will let you test tyres for an extended period of time to allow you to make your own opinion, gratis.
The only way to decide on tyres is the spec and read some reviews, very like what Is in this thread.
Michelin’s are generally very good but a blanket statement isn’t exactly helpful.
You also sound like the person who goes with the same car insurance company every year, because they are good.
