What's the book value of a 150k mile Z4MC...

I was stood on that torrential rain for about 2 hours.

Getting it recovered to home to avoid extra storage costs before I decide where to take it.

From what I could see, it looks like front & rear o/s wings, possible door, rear wheel assembly (sitting with about -10 camber) and maybe rear strut.

All my mods are declared, so hopefully they won't put up a fight. But it's a specialist insurer, so I'm not expecting them to

Find out what the insurance want for it mate, Maybe pennies. If so I'll help you get her back on road. Sounds minor. Compared to the totally destroyed one I've put back together. I know a man with M bits

That's crap news , often like reading about your m mileage and trips :( hopefully it will be worth repairing.

:(

Sorry to hear this mmm five, shame to see such a well used and known car end in such a way. Still, it really could be worse so you've got to be thankful I guess, even if it is slim consolation. Here's hoping the insurance works out well for you.

Gutted for you. Seeing what has been written off recently pretty sure of the outcome. If it's light damage as you say though I would be buying it back and repairing. With 150k on it it could be even cheaper to run if you have no intention of selling. More money for mods also.

Really sorry to hear this, glad you are ok though.

If it's front & rear wings damage only then aren't they bolt on's may even be lucky enough to find replacements in the right colour, although if you are on a tow truck I guess it could be more than superficial body damage.

Sorry fella...

Was the most used and one of the best coupes out there... I loved hearing the stories as the Miles racked up...

I think it could easily be resurrected if you want by what you describe...

Or could be time for a new one ? ;)

Always look forward..

Good luck

As others have said. You very well might be able to buy it back and fix it up. And possibly be up financially.

Hope you get what ever outcome your after anyway.

Can only echo what everyone has said - I'm really glad you're ok mate. There's no accounting for idiots on the road, and at least there wasn't a lorry in the slow lane to bounce you back out into traffic. I hope you can salvage it

I remember meeting you at the Turnpike a few months back and enjoying chatting about your many Nurburgring exploits in the ///M. It just takes one idiot doesn't it. Gutted for you :(

really sorry to hear of your scary experience and the damage to the car, but glad to hear you are ok. Hope you get it sorted out without too much fuss.

Initial 'over the phone' assessment by the insurance company say it's a repair job - but won't confirm until it's at a garage.

Doesn't look 'too' bad, but won't know if the chassis is bent until it's inspected, and that might push it into the 'uneconomical to repair' category.

Can't wait to see if I'll get a Hyundai i10 or worse as a courtesy car :P

Here's the 'battle damage'.

Tony, dreadful news, sorry to see this story. Your car looked lush at the Turnpike. I won't say that'll polish out but it does look like reasonably light damage, couple of new panels should do it and, if I'm not mistaken, any coupe should fit the bill. Hope the chassis checks out ok.

what a shame...... :-( no way at this miles will they repair that, but its actually minor, all bolt on pieces and id be very surprised if the chassis is damaged.

Bad luck mate, I hope the chassis is not compromised. More so as you and beedub are the few who actually get proper use out of your ///M's

Ah man!!! I hope they do repair it for you. But unfortunately i am with Beedub on this one. new panels and the whole side of the car respraying plus all the little clips and bits n bobs the will quote for. Then the suspension parts. I think it might get a category c.

But that might very well be a blessing. Buy it back get the panels second hand have them sprayed off the car and fit them. The rear suspension is the only tricky bit. I would imagine as its only cast aluminum that the top swing arm is bent or snapped. Can you have a look? Is the diff leaking? Is the output shaft bent or miss aligned. If its just the top arm and the diff looks ok its a simple fix.

And as people have said could get you back in your car for not much and it all fixed up. Plus maybe cash for a nice daily and your lovely z4mc can live out its life as a lady of leisure.

Minor scrape..

But no way will they repair with prices being what they are...

Shame

Would you agree that the rear suspension/wheel although looks really bad might not be?

You seem to know your onions on these things. I know its hard to tell from pictures though.

Yea...

It needs looking at but IMHO even on what you can see its uneconomic to repair..

Unless you agree to repairs on bumpers and refurbs on wheels... ( I personally wouldn't) ...

Wings, door, front and rear bumpers, sill cover and 2 wheels will cost more than enough I reckon
