Whats my car worth then???

I wont be putting it back to stock simply for the reason I dont have all the original parts. Sold my 108's, sold the old front bumper, the original suspension springs etc. Still got the original air box though so I could sell that seperately I suppose :D

Thanks for all the feedback so far.

I was hoping it would attract interest somewhere between the 14.5 and 15k mark, looking at examples that are for sale, especially this one.

Granted it's got sat nav and slightly less mileage but I personally dont think it's a patch on mine (I am biased I know) :D

With regards to the two tone interior, I love it. Think it really sets it apart from the rest of the crowd (boring black, cream, red) etc, and hopefully someone else will love it for that reason to

Anyway keep the thoughts coming and if anyone is interested then PM me :D

As posted by everyone else mods generally dont add any value to a car....

But as always your car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay... but with the two tone interior and mods your buying market is greatly reduced.

You'd get much more demoding it to standard then selling it for the going rate.... plus get change from your mod sales.

A lovely car but can it really be worth a similar price to mine?

Neither have nav... so probably :poke:

PVR won't be happy, you beat him to it.

JDM, That autotrader has a terrible interior beige with brushed ali.

My thoughts exactly but I'm sure it will be to someones taste.... just like I hope my interior is :)

I probably don't need to tell you this, but from experience I would start the paperwork immediately to get that personal plate on retention if you are serious about selling!

Saw that, loved it. I have a groupie

JDM this must be a wind up surely!? Your a mad man!!

Keep it even if its worth 15k which in this climate is a push (id be lucky to get that for my M) its worth much more to your surely and at 47k its just running in! Take advantage of the mods you've made and keep it.

I have to agree modifications make cars much more difficult to sell, people are frightened about what may go wrong and how much it would cost to fix as your average BM garage wouldn't be as willing to help. Unless a member would take it off your hands.

Its like the property market
"I think my house should go on the market at £295k"
(but then you never see that it sell's for £249.99k)

Advertise it at what you expect to get for it, but allow for the buyers knock down

Also although Mod's can detract a car's sell-able value, they still can make a car stand out.
I bet most of us Z4 owners on here looked a several before settling on the one we have now.
Some potential buyers might have your mods in mind as future mods they have considered,
or they might have never thought about it but find your car far more attractive and more unique to the others they have viewed.

Good luck tho
I think £13000 is a good starting price

That figure is very optimistic, I think. I'd list at 14 but be prepared to take less. Don't forget, what's listed on autotrader won't often sell for that price!

Thing is you're looking to sell up because your seeing lots of bargains in the classfieds the problem with your logic here is that your 3.0si will also be worth considerably less. Realistically you're looking at 9 or 10k.

For the record I think your car looks a lot better with the Z4m wheels than the other ones.

9 to 10k?! Don't be daft. John - I'd seriously give you 10k in cash and I'm not even looking at the moment. When someone can say that, you know it's much too cheap.

9 or 10k !? There selling with more miles and less spec for more than that !

9 or 10k is definitely nowhere near the mark. I'd say do not accept a penny under £12k, aim for £13,500 and advertise at £14,500.

Selling or advertised, there's M's for sale for only slughtly more these days so why would someone pay more for a modified 3.0?

14.5k now that's daft.
