Whats my car worth then???

I quite like the two tone and a spare set of wheels.
But I would never buy anything modified.
To me it says thrashed plus unrealistic expectations.

There will be people that love it though, I wish him luck in finding them.

I have to agree -

Like many of you guys i have lots of non standard se parts fitted, I also do not 'rag' the car and keep it undercover, well maintained etc etc

However i would never buy a car that has been modified like mine, OEM or not - It just gives out the wrong signals in my opinion

I would put it back to standard, sell the parts then trade-in

Thanks for all the negative comments guys.. Much appreciated.
As I said if I don't get what I want then I won't sell it simple as that. I'm not desperate to sell but if the right person comes along who appreciates what's been done then happy days.

I have advertised at that price to have some room for manoeuvre. At the end of the day though I won't let it go for silly money just because the market is somewhat fickle and unpredictable at the minute!

Also just to confirm the insurance is a further £60 per year with all the mods declared, still a lot less than an M would be!

Don't think anyone has been deliberately negative dude. Your thread title reads "what's my car worth then???"
and so as asked people have posted their opinions. I hope you can get that for it, as I said before it's a great car and a lot for relatively little money (though I think that of the standard car, the mods apart from gruppe M don't for me add anything)

Good luck with the sale, wedding, house purchase

John I think it great as said before, the thing is selling a “modded” car only reduce your buyers that's all, I have sold “Enhanced and Upgraded” cars before no issues at all!, and as I have stressed before ebay is your friend is less than PH a wider audience and anyone looking for a Coupe will come across it, on the rounds

Personally I would have noted the fact you’re an active BMW Z4 owners club member who is actively involved with contributions, as well as meets etc it show your an enthusiast not a "boy racer” as some may perceive is a big plus in my book to buy a members car, which as after reading a few threads form yourself its clear you take a lot of pride in your car which is a positive aspect.

Buyers could find your progress and see it has been done to a high standard. I think as many have said in the current market its worth say 12.5k , and the amount of mods is clearly in excess of 2.5k, so can see your reason for 15k, if am honest with you and I have bought and sold a few cars. I would sell the Cades, group m and anything else that you can break down. The M wheels look excellent and IMO better then post her around 13.5-14k. By the fact it has a M bumper , quads , etc I would go down the creata M look hence keep the M wheels, the Cades maybe a little "bling" for some altought I love these and BBs Lm's not everyone does.

The main issue is your currently in direct competition with M's so you need to get in priced between the two of them. Hence I feel your best placed as above because your car is special , its worth a little more but maybe not that much in a buyers eyes.

This all just IMO and I could be talking cobblers , This is all of course your wanting to sell, otherwise hold on to her she stunning! :D

John - I guess if you don't advertise it at what YOU think it's worth you'll never know. Good luck with the sale, hope you stay in the fold because it's been interesting watching you modify your car. Oh and good luck with the house and nuptials too!

I think you'll struggle to drum up much interest at that level. You'll have to hope that your car appeals specifically to someone because of its mod's. That said, I (and probably the whole forum) hope you prove us all wrong.

Thanks Paza3, that's good advice and I will more than likely look at doing something like this if I get no interest as it stands.. As I said I set the price with a view to people bartering but I wouldnt let it go for silly money.

I will edit the advert to add something about being part of an active BMW Z4 owners club. As you say this can only be seen as a good thing. The car is my pride and joy and has never been thrashed or abused and I think that may be a way of getting that across to a potential buyer.

Thanks for your advice mate

There's a lot of great advice given on this forum, but when it comes to price it all gets a bit silly. Your car could have done half the mileage, be a couple of years newer and somebody would still be on here with "there's one of those down my local garage for £4,995", or "my mate bought one with identical spec AND sat nav for a tenner down the pub". The car is worth whatever someone at the right moment is willing to pay for it. Good luck with the sale, I think you've stuck it on at a sensible price.

Out of interest, and sorry if it's already been covered, but what's the replacement going to be? Presuming there's going to be one that is and that all money made won't go on house / wedding...

So this new house.

Will it be getting carbon fibre decking and an extended garage?

Quad chimney conversion.

(Best of luck w sale of car and purchase of house btw!)

Unless you are not buying a different car at all, is that couple of thousand really worth all the hassle?

Thanks hype.

I know what you mean. The market is very fickle and unpredicatable at the minute and its a case of hoping someone appreciates the money and effort gone to to create the car. Fingers and toes crossed and all that
