This is the guide coat technique. Spray a light coat of matt/satin black on the primer. Rub primer down with 800 until all the black has gone:
Make sure you clean your spray gun out with standard thinners thoroughly because 2k products dry solid anywhere once the hardener is mixed in. Same idea as bodyfiller/fibreglass resin etc. This is 2k clear that dried in a mixing cup. try not to mix too much as you can't save it!
