Managed to get a new skirt for my car and thought I'd try my new sealey spray gun that was less than 25 quid delivered off ebay :). Here are the results!

The wheels are candy apple red the camera can't pic the colour up right it looks orange :/
 
I have my cheap spray gun my old compressor some practice panels. I will be giving this a go soon on my car.

Trouble is i am not sure where to stop. The whole car needs spraying!!! I will be dropping you a few PMs in the coming weeks if that's ok :thumbsup:

I keep telling you to try and ask me as much as you want :rofl: I like sharing my knowledge/experiences more people should try it :)

So yeah stop putting it off and get spraying :p

I know i know but in my mind it seems wise to wait until is warmed up a bit. That and i have just brought lots of mechanical bits that it needed!! So fist up what type brand of paint you using?

I've had a spray gun for years but only sprayed primer when I had my fibreglass business. I've always been tempted to have a go with paint but been afraid of ball'sing it up.
 
Good stuff. I think we both know that painting cars is mainly preparation and after that for the spraying 90% skill, 5% equipment and a spare for 5% good luck, in having no bug land on the panel, or wife open the garage door.....

Do all mine using an Aldi compressor and a gun from a car parts fair.
 
Atm I have max meyer clear although I've used hb body before and i think i prefer that and kapci primer. The basecoat I think is autocolour? I think!
MM I just have a 3kw electric heater in the shed, gets it really warm! Put it on for an hour after painting and it's touch dry. Also put it on before painting.

Ill post some pics up of the wheels fitted shortly
