The new car is on its way and I will soon find out but ,,,,,
What will I notice when the 3.0l E89 (auto) is replaced by the 35is ?

Harder faster pull with a gearbox that gets better the more the right tootsie is encouraged to greet the shagpile. Not that it'll stay planted for long or you'll A: Have a very unhelpful chat with a tree. B: get pulled and your licence recycled into pulp C: s**t yourself.

Other than that not much. It's a very powerful car capable of quite a decent turn of speed Ronk.

The ability to make your eyes hurt if you floor it to the max , in real terms i would expect to feel very like the turbo powered 340bhp Scirocco i recently spent a week with :driving: just all round capability to pull at any speed or any revs in almost any gear , the big numbers come so fast it does worry how you can avoid points , penalty's or even accidents
Enjoy it

ronk, Dave (PortheZ4) is meeting me at 11am on Sunday to head up to Hartside (there may be others). We are heading out to meet the forum run there. You mentioned you might do the same - let me know if you fancy joining us and I'll pm you the meet point.

Good luck with your new Zed :o :D

Joking aside Ronk once run in you'll be shocked, seriously. The pull is relentless as the DCT fires off changes so smoothly, if you use the paddles you just plant your foot and bang the changes up with no interruption in acceleration. The autobahn will let you really use it fully, assuming you can get a free run in the traffic.

I'll have a charity bet with you, once run in if you're not honestly shocked at the grunt it has and how fast the DCT is I'll chuck a tenner to a cause of your choice.

Thanks for the good luck wish - there's a wee bit going on with the purchase and its not 100% certain - I will explain once it's sorted - sorry to be so vague at this point but it would be improper for me to go public .

Even at this late stage I'm still unsure on the run

Noise! It's got a bit more noise than the 30i.....my Dad asked why I bought such a loud car. I can hear it start from the customer parking when sat in the dealership when in for a service!

This !!

The car is superbly noisy ... in a manufacturer standard sports exhaust kind of way. Put it in Sports mode for more pops and bangs on over run.

I miss the noise of my 35iS ...

I bet you can't wait, not driven a 35is but I would imagine it will be immense I must try one maybe I could blag a test drive from a stealer.
Enjoy it

The power and sound are addictive, just be careful giving it the full beans if it's little damp outside, oh and change to Michelin PSS as soon as you can.

Today is our last day with our 35i, it will be missed ...
