What will I notice

Lucky guy - going to the top of the E89 tree. Bet you can't wait to get your hands on it  :driving:

I was rushed into buying my 3.0l E89 a few years ago and honestly thought that there wasn't a great deal of difference !

If the 35is proves to be as reliable as the 3.0l then I should have it for a good length of time.

Is it going to be a keeper Ron, I quite like the idea of one of the last 35is :)

Tim.

That's my intention !

Mrs K's 335 xd as a daily and my toy for the summer days and holiday jaunts.
It seems I have one of the last - certainly this was the only one from the line with my must haves.
I wasn't able to have the coral red leather but I did get the heated wheel I didn't really want!!

You'll notice how good it is but after a while you'll miss a 'stick shift', then go round in bloody circles driving yourself crazy wondering wether to flog it for a manual or keep it as it's a one owner and is so good at doing what it does...of course that's all just a guess, based on what I don't know... :idunno:

I'm a dedicated auto old fart !
First z4 was manual - all our other cars auto - when the time came to change it was an auto E89!

Sounds good, will be awesome, get some pics up when the new addition arrives :)

Tim.

Yes - the photos are mandatory I thought?

The car will only be on the road until the end of October then tucked away on a sorn - 11/12ths of the £650 first year ved might come back to me ?
It does say ved and not shiwroom tax etc.
I certainly don't want to run it thro the salty winter months _ it's going to be tough though!

Will be good to hear your thoughts when you get it, Ron. I assume they've sorted the bumper issue?

I wish!
Can I just say at this point - it's ongoing, so I won't say anything just yet. I think it will be sorted.its a 1/4 end for them.
If it's not then I will walk away and either keep the current 3.0l, go Porsche even get a pipe, slippers and a Mercedes !
I can't go back to the status quo as they've sold my Landrover .

Oh Ron. That's not great news but fingers crossed. I'm sure whatever happens you'll end up with something you enjoy.

Don't worry - it keeps going 'ping' 'ping' 'ping' on my radar!
All joking apart it's certainly an option if this all goes belly up.

Just pulling your leg Ronk, hopefully all will be well, I'm sure sense will prevail. :)

I know but it's always worth having a plan !
They ( the dealers) are running out of time now.

There is only one downside to having a 35is...

You wont have a Z4 to upgrade to.....

Awesome car and you will never get bored of how it drives,a 3.0 is not even in the same ballpark..

You can expect:

1. Massive acceleration on dual carriageways with roundabouts. Exit roundaround, smash the throttle, warp speed.
2. more visits to petrol stations
3. Pointless gearchanges for sound effect (remember when you were 17?)
4. Realising that there is no going back with bhp. 340 now the new entry level.
:)

I think I said that the sales wallah said chalk and cheese! It seems he may be right reading this - only trouble is those first 1200 miles!
