I used to hang onto the grab rail at the front. I think the Zeds are low but the sprites were on the floor.

My old boss had a Scimitar really fast (back in the 80s) Considering what there other make of car was they did a good job!

Taz X 2 .. that or the Triumph GT6 ......... when i sat in a Coupe at the Paris Motor Show when they were launched i thought this is the small 60's sports coupe reborn.

Aye! For me it was the same thoughts, but at the Excel centre in London.

My car history is as follows:
(1) Nissan Cherry; (2) Renault 19 GTS; (3) Ford Mondeo 1.6 LS; (4) BMW 318i (E36); (5) Volvo S40 1.8 SE;
(6) BMW 523i SE (E39); (7) Lotus Elise S1; (8) BMW 323Ci Coupe (E46); (9) BMW 523i Sport (E60); (10) BMW Z4 2.5i Sport (E85); and (11) BMW Z4 sDriver23i M Sport (E89).

So I think my first sporty car was Lotus Elise S1 then (in Lotus Racing Green). :D

My first was a Citroen AX GT. Now, I appreciate one mans chalk is another mans cheese - however this H reg bad-boy was a step up from the D reg Rover 213 :lol:

My Calibra not quick but i suppose a sporty shape for a 4 seater coupe sold the old girl to buy the Z

First one was a 1979 MG Midget 1500. Great fun when it was going well, which wasn't often, even though it was only 6 y/o. Some time later had a TVR S2 which I kept for 9 yrs until it was written off. Totally reliable. Would still like one. Also numerous hot hatches and a TT. Had the Z4 6 years+.

Btw yes, Scimitar did have the Ford Essex 3.0l v6.

Mine was a Cooper S - A proper full race spec 1293. Straight cut box - the full monty!

That was in the late sixties / early seventies - not one of the modern jobbies.

It was fast in its day - I only wish I had it now.

When I was 17 back in 1975 I bougth a 1961 Cooper "S".......absolutely loved it.

what no 206's...

Sportyish in a warm hatch kinda way: 1999 Peugeot 206 XS 1.6 litre :D

rest of my car history is in my sig :driving:
