ZermattV! Club Maldives, Club 3.0 and now Club Cinq Sporting!!!

Red seatbelts and comfiest seats I've ever had. Also, when someone tried to break into it I delighted in the fact my lock 'clicked' back on mechano style.

 ... seats were brill ..... what colour was yours neil ? Yellow.. Red .. Black or silver...... or even rarer the metallic blue or Grey.

Only black car I've ever owned with an orange stripe

Mine was a Cooper S - A proper full race spec 1293. Straight cut box - the full monty!

That was in the late sixties / early seventies - not one of the modern jobbies.

It was fast in its day - I only wish I had it now.

My First car, MGB GT, 2.0l Oselli engine with a big old Weber 45 DCOE and hot cam! In fact I still have it but tucked up for over 4 years :(

My first was a Mk2 Mini 1275 rebored to 1380cc and many many performance mods. Stupid amounts of power for such a small car but guaranteed adrenaline rush.

Man from my own heart

Started with an '63 Mini. swapped out the engine to an MG 1300 version, overbored to 1340 and then luckily due to foreigners had it fully gasflowed at Rolls Royce and most of the internal nitrided and/or machined up properly or generally upgraded

Converted to '59 Cone harder rubber suspension and race alloy drum brakes. Straight cut tooth gearbox and loads of other race bits

Lethal contraption that could break traction in 3rd gear and nearly saw me off a few times, but used to each the big Jags for breakfast :driving:

Ahh.......... rolls royce engineers.. I remember going to look with my Dad at a Mini Metro City in Beige in Crewe where the bloke a young mechanical engineer from RR had fitted an MG Metro turbo engine under the bonnet...... what a Q car that was.

could not convince the old man to buy it for my mother ... she ended up with a fiesta .

Unless you count an Orion 1.6i Ghia, or a 306 XSi, then mine was a Westfield SEiW with a fast road cam and twin 45 Webers. First rear wheel drive car I owned, and at 160 bhp and under 600kg it was a pretty steep learning curve for a 25 year old :D
