What was your first car

1988 blue Yugo/Zastava 45. 850cc of pure, cam chain rattling adrenalin (please excuse the sarcasm)!! 0-60 in about a fortnight and an 80mph top speed.

A Vauxhall viva HA 1963 ! It got a fuel leak under the bonnet when I was in the hills entertaining a young lady ,set on fire and was written off .luckily after the main event!!!!!

Corney Fell?? :D

As odd as it sounds, it’s a tough one to define my first car.

First car I regularly use to drive was my dads Ford Sierra 1.8 LX (rear wheel drive, manual, no power steering!)
The first car I owned (but technically it was bought for me): Rover 214 (with beige interior, so cool!)
The first car I bought with my own money: a Renault 19 for a tenner (only bought it because it was a tenner - and did one journey in it (London to manc), and then gave it away to a mate for free.
The first car I bought myself and actually owned for a while: Ford Puma 1.7 (that was a fun car - be it a bit femine)

My first car was a 1963 Reliant Regal saloon , I went all over in that car always with my full bike licence holding mate in the passenger seat, even had it on two wheels and scraped the front of the car on the road on both sides , so yes it was a lucky escape :driving: , all three others in the car still speak to me and I nearly found out the colour of adrenalin was brown :D my first "proper" car was Ford Cortina 1963 vintage when I got my full licence at 18 :)

I had a Volvo 360 GLS, it came with Goodyear Grandpix 70’s which were not “ a major contribution to road safety” however it was great fun for learning to play with a car that likes to hang its rear out. Contrary to the Volvo image it was a blast.

Vauxhall Astra Mk 1, 1.6SR. A cheap version of the GTE
Fond nostalgia but car was full of rust and dammed heavy and slow.
Love to have a GTE in my dream garage.

Mk1 Ford Escort Estate, it was H reg with hardly any paint on it but good good service for 2 years before I upgraded to a MK2 saloon

An absolute turd but I was grateful to have a car to cart my drums around in. I put 6x9s in the parcel shelf and played Remedy by Basement Jaxx on loop.

MKII Escort 1.6. It was my dad's project car, so twin 1 3/4" SU carbs, 4 speed dog box, dry sump, racing clutch, uprated shocks and springs, partial roll cage, stripped interior, bucket seats and no back seat... 0-90 in about 12 seconds but that was flat out! It sat on Ford Cortina wheels and tyres, as that was what came off his company car. A good car to learn in and very forgiving if you pushed too hard with progressive over-steer right up to the limit. Oh, and it had non-servo assisted brakes, so stopping it in a hurry needed both feet!

First car I bought was a Saab 99GL turbo. Previous owner had dropped in a B202 16V turbo engine, so about 175BHP in something that handled like a barge. Horrible metalic brown colour and drank oil at about the same rate as petrol. Ended up binning it into a wall, but resurrected it and ran it until the floor rusted through, doing about 80K in total. Bought for £1600 and sold the engine for £800, so it didn't owe me very much :)

The 17 year old me was very proud to be the owner of RWH514J

Not my pics or house but these are the only pics I have of my first car (sellers pics). 106 xsi, lights were put back to OEM. This car was incredible! Basically a Rallye with injection and electric windows.
