Radar based sensors that beam through the plastic..mounted inside the bumper…

https://id4motion.shop/collections/all- ... ot-monitor

That looks more or less the same as kits sold on Ali for less than £100 but I guess you are paying for the integration with the ID4 cluster. Will be interested to see how you get on with the install of the sensors behind the bumper.

Yup I’m not into Chinese integration projects…s/w is the key…pressed the order button tonight so we will see…

Isn't your MMi box a Chinese Integration? :poke:  :tumbleweed:

But anyway it will be great to see how you get on with the ID4 kit (cluster and blind spot kit).

I trust that's the Meyle HD track rod ends?

Will be interested to see what you think one its been aligned and re-sprung..

Make sure they get the front and rear toe in correct..and ask them to check the RTABs and associated linkage bushes for play n flex..

While theya re there ask em to pry bar the front bushes too..the top one especially wears badlly on N54 E89s..

Nothing major (hopefully). Just an oil service. It’s not due but as I’m off with nothing else planned, why not.

I’m planning on dropping the oil every 6k as I use the car regularly. I’m planning on buying the oil in bulk (20l) to save money. Does anyone have suggestions on brand, spec and source please? Mine is a 23i E89 with 33k miles. 5W30 is the normal spec.

Open to the floor.

You can’t beat frequent oil changes for helping extend the life of the engine in so many ways…

The engine is not highly stressed so any good synthetic of 5W-30 meeting API SN spec will do..

The long life spec is not relevant as you are not asking the oil to sit for 2 years and/or 18k miles..

Mahle is my choice of filter.

I use Fuchs ester based oil but their normal synthetics are excellent..but..if you are changing the oil every 5k then almost any supplier meeting that spec will be good enough..

IMHO..

Cheers B21. Who do you use as your supplier?

I get my oil from Opie and filters from Autodoc…lot of bogus fakes so I don’t trust eBay or Amazon for key parts..I had an eBay dealer sell me a GFB diverter valve ..it was a good fake..fortunately GFB posted a video on how to spot the fake..

So I end up with 20-30 litre of oil on Opie offers and 10 assorted filters for the car fleet…
