Michelin Pilot Super Sport Reviews from tyrereview

Driving on a combination of roads for 30,000 spirited miles
Have had lots of tyres on a variety of high performance coupes and saloons (e34 M5 and e86 Z4M Coupe mainly), and these have to be one of the best all-rounders I've ever used.
I'm getting 20k miles out of a set of rears, and the fronts have done 30k miles so far and have 4mm left.
The only thing that fazes them is the initial freezing conditions, as once the tyres have warmed up a little, cold/wet roads do nothing to reduce their grip.
They're equally at home on the motorway, fast A/B roads or Nurburgring.

Great tyre. Very good dry grip, surprisingly good wet grip. Low noise, comfortable and they even wear well. Michelins are the tyre of choice for me having tried out Dunlops, Continentals etc over a 20 year driving career putting in 35,000 miles each year. My favourite was the Pilot Primacy for big family estates, but now I've swapped into a BMW Z4M Coupe these replaced the OEM Continentals and I haven't looked back. Done 8,000 miles and only lost 2 to 2.5mm. Mix of town commute and motorways and tearing off down A roads. Buy these, they may be more expensive but they are the only thing in contact with the road, and they will impress you. Well worth the money.

Having used Continental 3, 5, 5p, Michelin PS2 and PSS, I can report that the PSS is the best in the wet and dry. They also ride well with little road noise and are very progressive on the limit.

I'm going for F1 Assymetric 2s, stock sizes for £700 fitted, less £40 fuel voucher offer. Previously found them stunning in the wet and very predictable all round.
