Got fack all to do this weekend so thinking of painting my grills black, also want to blacken the middle of my lower bumper...

Seen a yank owner used plastikote to paint the middle of the bumper...is that the general method? I know some ppl have a wrap

Basically I want the grills and bumper to match so not sure what paint finish to use?

Gloss?? Satin??

Basically that....

That looks a nice job done but when you do your's could you mask the area up with your old Razzle magazines :P
it should make things much more interesting when you post up the pics

Nothing to add to your post but....

Where the feck have you been? :D

I've been on a leadership and management course prior to getting promoted, been super duper busy but finish on Friday

I have just done my grills with halfords rubberised black paint it looks good. It seems quite thick stuff my reasoning it might not chip so quickly. Don't forget to key the surface so the paint sticks better.

As for the center section the same stuff would work. But wrapping has to be the first option for 2 reasons. No overspray and it can peal off if you don't like it?

Good luck with it sounds like a fen project. I want to do my centre section on my front bumper. So if you want to go half's on some wrap that could work for me?

Well done on the promotion

My only issue with a wrap is it might not turn out as good as I'd hope...

Although I guess the risk of messing up spray paint is prob higher

What type of rubber black paint was it? Or is there only one type? Happy with the finish?

Yeah looks good mate

I've just bought a facelift front bumper which I've had painted. Not picked it up from the body shop yet but I want to wrap the lower section with satin black. Can't bring myself to spray it :(

That's what I'm going to do I think ... Painted will take maintenance when it scuffs / chips. Just trying to get the margins neat enough at the edges where the instep of the bumper under the fogs meets the face of the bumper (don't know if that makes sense but I know which part I mean. Haha )

So think tomorrow I'm gonna get some carbon fibre weave wrap and a can of black paint

Bit worried ill mess wrapping the bumper up but I'll be brave and do my best
