What second car????

I think the snow is on the way, so yesterday i spent the day traveling around the midlands looking at different cheap 4x4s…Y reg Nivara, 02 plate L200, 02 plate grand cherokee….all under 3k but all very worn out and tired with problems just waiting to happen…..then last night i happened upon a 4x4 that looked modern and fairly solid..a 56 plate at £3300…well id never hear of them so i looked at the motoring press reviews..all slated them…looked at owners reviews and they where coming up with great things about the car….so off i went this morning and bought a 56 plate Ssangyong Kyron…and its great!!!! it has a 2lr merc diesel engine and it really is giving me 35+mpg. Its not the prettiest..but its got a full Main dealer history, its immaculate inside and out, heated sreen, cd, air con etc etc……BARGIN i think :D

I went for a little GV1600

That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen! Well done for getting a cheap, economical and (hopefully) reliable car though

my mate at work drives down to spain in one of those 3 times a year had it from new and has never let him down he does 24hrs of driving apart from the ferry crossing and he hammers it (he is mad ) but the car is good

I had a LWB Shogun years ago and have to say it was a 100% reliable bus.
The downside was a lack of economy (low 20's) and a service every 4.5k miles - Not a cheapo to run!

Yeah I can imagine the LWB would be a costly thing to run. If u don't mind paying the money definitely one for the winter :)

I thought the Zed was more of a "second car," but perhaps my priorities are all screwed up.

The service can be done with spanners, grease gun and oil can and is well within the scope of a talented amateur so its not all bad news.
